Advice for Hotels in Tulsa, Oklahoma?

I am looking for a very nice hotel to stay in for my trip to Tulsa this September. I’ve basically narrowed it down to the Renaissance or Ambassador Hotel. Can anyone tell me which is nicer/better?

The Renaissance is definitely the best choice. It’s fairly new, the food is outstanding, the location is great. It’s near Tulsa’s best mall, and also Target, Kohls and a number of other stores. It’s conveniently located with easy access to highway (169). It has a back street access, which is great because there is a lot of traffic on the main road. I’ve eaten at that hotel and attended various meetings there, and it has always been a pleasant experience.

The Ambassador is downtown. It’s an old hotel. They are doing a lot of construction in that area and it’s a hassle to navigate through. It’s an area with a lot of one-way streets, which adds to the frustration. The downtown is also the area of most crime.
