whats a cheap hotel in manchester M5 3EJ?

I’m on a training course at the Exchange Quay, Manchester M5 3EJ and need to find a cheap hotel to stay at for a week, as my tight fisted company will not pay for my accommodation, I’ve not had much luck finding one as I don’t know Manchester at all and most of the hotels I have found have been in the city centre, can any of you guys and girls help me out on this one. BTW if it was me, I would find another job. How tight can a company be????
